Mori no Pan Kobo(A bakery in Chikoku-cho)
April, 2017

"The bakery renovating the site of former Kadoya," opened in Hitachi Taga on July 9th 2016. This call name is becoming to be widely used among Hitachi City citizens. The name of the bakery is "Mori no Pan Kobo", and it's representative is Mr. Motoyuki Mori. There used to be an established shop named Kadoya on Suzuran St.,1minute walk from JR Hitachi Taga station. Kadoya was a shop that sold cheep sweets and ice candies. Washed away for change of times, the shop closed in April 2014. And a lot of fans missed Kadoya.

The site of Kadoya was renovated as a micro creation share office owned jointly by Ibaraki Prefecture and Hitachi City. Micro creation share office is a project of the prefecture and the city. They renovate empty shops with subsidies and rent them with cheap housing. It is for the purpose of regional vitalization and job creation.

Mr. Mori was born in Hitachi City. He is a graduate from a school in Hitachi City and got a job in Tokyo. As he loved cooking and baking, he changed his job to be a bread maker. After gaining experience in Gunma Prefecture and Mie Prefecture, he decided to open his own bakery in Hitachi City, his home town. He happened to find out the micro creation share office named Kadoya. And his dream of foundation has come true. The charm points of Mori no Pan Kobo are the nostalgic air of the site of Kadoya and the mildness of the handmade bread. The most popular bread is the Apple Danish. You will be satisfied with its quality and quantity. The bakery uses local wheat flour and Oku-kuji eggs.

Mr. Mori aims to be best at the quality of the breads. And he also wants to vitalize Hitachi City. And for that purpose, he keeps in mind that his bakery participate in as much event as possible. As a result, the customers cheer him back. We look forward to seeing the new challenges of Mr. Mori who "came back" to Hitachi City.
