8. Reporters Remarks
Hitachi city has a long history as an industrial town.  Now it has many retired business managers and engineers. They are valuable resources of the city. It is a key theme how they are given chances to serve the region and how they do serve.
We were impressed to learn how the center raise chances for the retired personnel and how the center try to help for industries to improve for new industrial world.  We hope the center will serve for the region with its high mission. The center was started by the initiative of government and Ibaraki Prefecture to revitalize the industrial region after the collapse of financial bubbles. So far activities of the center has been financed almost by Hitachi city. Funding from the results of the center might be a theme.
