Brief Description of “Neoview Suzaku” Awarded by Japan Society of
Mechanical Engineers
The awards are given to good products with high engineering and
creativity introduced by any size of industries for the year.
“Neoview Suzaku” is a system to review defects of packed
substrates.
It is a device to detect defects in printed substrates such as soldered IC
chips.
It is a robot with cameras set at top and inclined positions to
detect defects in parts such as soldered joints in production processes of
electronic devises. It is to keep the quality and speed of visual
inspection in the production lines.
As soon as defect is detected by the automatic visual inspection
equipment, high resolution cameras are set to focus the defect, then
the inspection engineers reset the robot to view the defect from the top
direction and the inclined direction.
”When”, ”Where”, ”Who”, and “By What” : inspection
information and images of the test results and traceability are stored in
the system.
It is possible to link to multi-producers, and multi-inspection machines,
and, time and cost for quality management are minimized.
It is possible to have one data base from the automatic visual inspection
systems and visual test data, and it is also possible to speed-up overall
visual test process by checking misjudged points with use of the
automatic visual inspection system.

“Neoview Byakko” |
Reporter's note
Number of the employee is about 70 and equipment at the shop does
not to be those of states-of-arts, but they have many young engineers with
high development skills and dedicated to work there.
They are powerful to networking and have high development
capabilities to design database.
They are active to have international businesses, and has
been successful in the them.
Naming of products is unique to use Chinese and Japanese old
animals, such as “Souryu”, and “Byakko”. They look to symbolize their
strong will for the business.
